Essential Tips for Royal Ascot 2018

•  Dress code is a big deal at Ascot – and getting dressed up to the nines is all part of the experience. Requirements will vary depending on your tickets, so be sure to check the What to Wear guide.
• Unless you have a private box in the Grandstand, you’ll be sharing viewing points with other racegoers. The best spots fill up fast, so find your place 15 mins ahead of a race starting.
• If your tickets don’t include a free racecard, pick one up from one of the kiosks – it’s essentially a programme with race times, runners and riders, maps and other information.
• Bring cash with you – there are ATMs on-site but you don’t want to spend your day at Royal Ascot queueing for them.

Panoramic Restaurant with Raymond Blanc, Royal Enclosure

If you’re envisioning fine dining as a key part of your Royal Ascot experience take a look at the Panoramic Restaurant. Overseen by Raymond Blanc OBE, the Panoramic Restaurant boasts views overlooking the Straight Mile, the Winning Post and the arrival of the Royal Carriages.

The Furlong Restaurant, Queen Anne Enclosure

New for Royal Ascot 2018, the former Furlong Club will be transformed into a spacious new fine-dining restaurant.

The restaurant will feature a sweeping private terrace, offering uninterrupted views of the finishing straight – ideal for taking in the Royal Procession and the racing.
