Cricket
The Hundred
3rd August – 3rd September
The Hundred is a new addition to the cricket circuit, only starting in 2021, but promising to bring an innovative format to the classic sport. This 100-ball cricket tournament brings down the average playtime of a match to two and a half hours, making it much more accessible for a casual audience.
The tournament involved eight men’s and eight women’s teams compete across seven popular grounds. Located in major cities across the UK makes the live events easier for spectators to travel to and source accommodation. One ticket gives access to both the men’s and women’s games taking place on the day, giving more variety to what you will see in each day, rather than only one match being played.
The Hundred will be stopping at: Southampton, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Leeds, and Birmingham.
One Day Internationals & Test Matches
The One Day Internationals and Test Matches started with Bangladesh vs Afghanistan but there is still time before England plays at home. Matches that can be enjoyed live in the UK start with the England vs New Zealand test on June 2nd. From there, there will be matches each month at various stadiums across the UK. For the cricket enthusiasts, enjoy the test matches, spanning several days, for the ultimate experience. Or if you want something more concise the One Day Internationals give all the excitement of cricket but streamlined into one day.
You can enjoy One Day Internationals and Test Matches straight through from June to September. England will be playing at home against New Zealand, India, and South Africa during these dates, giving plenty of options as to where and when to get your cricket fix.
