The Most Anticipated Hotel Openings Coming in 2021

10 September 2020

If you know us, you’ll know we love to travel. We’ve visited the Arctic Circle, taken incentives groups all over America and Asia and delivered countless conferences in Europe and all over the UK.

On our travels, we’re lucky enough to stay in some of the best hotels in world, like the Nautilus by Arlo in Miami and one of our favourites closer to home, Gleneagles.

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to visit as many places as we would have liked this year but that’s not stopped us dreaming about 2021. We’re pleased to see that despite the set-backs faced by the tourism industry as a result of covid-19, many of our favourite luxury hotel brands have continued construction and are preparing to open their doors to some of the most spectacular hotels and event spaces on the planet.

4 luxury hotel openings not to be missed

1. Six Senses, Kitzbuehel Alps

Incentive ski trips are one of our favourite things to deliver so we were ecstatic to see Six Senses announce the opening of a brand new resort village in the heart of the Austrian Alps. With 80 guest rooms, a cozy bar and an indoor-outdoor spa café, it’s one of the most well equipped resorts in the Alps making it the perfect choice for large and small groups looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

2. Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid

The iconic Ritz Hotel first opened its doors in 1910 and has been host to royalty, politicians, corporate leaders and celebrities. Over 100 years later, the hotel has been undergoing its most extensive restoration ever to significantly enhance the hotel’s first class facilities and services, whilst maintaining its unique character.

Its location within the prestigious residential area close to Madrid’s financial and commercial district makes it an ideal venue for meetings and events. The ballroom and function spaces have been beautifully restored and feature large windows that face the famous Prado Museum.

3. Six Senses, Ibiza

A firm favourite with Inconnection clients and employees, Ibiza is a top destination that never disappoints. Whilst we’re huge fans of resorts like 7Pines Kempinski and Grand Palladium Palace, another new opening from Six Senses has caught our eye.

Situated in the tranquil northern trip of Ibiza on Cala Xarraca Bay just 30 minutes from the airport, Six Senses Ibiza is an absolute must for 2021. The resort boasts 134 guest accommodations including townhouses, pool suites and beach cave units, as well as a wellness spa and unobstructed westerly sunset views that are guaranteed to be unforgettable.

4. W Hotels, Edinburgh

Staycations are more popular than ever and the 2021 scheduled opening of the second UK-based W Hotel is just in time.

Located in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, the W Hotel will form the centrepiece of the new 1.7 million square foot development which will incorporate a blend of retail, entertainment, leisure and residential apartments.

The hotel will offer 214 guest rooms, a rooftop bar with an outdoor terrace and 360 panoramic views and 2,450 square feet of ultra-modern event space.
