Networking paddle event

20 January 2026

The Brief

Ahead of a major two-day conference and exhibition in the insurance sector, an event traditionally built around food, drink, and hosted entertainment, the client sought a fresh, inclusive way to energise attendees. The objective was to create a fun, engaging experience with broad appeal that would encourage natural networking, support wellbeing, and set the tone for the days ahead.

Solution

Inconnection designed and delivered a corporate padel day, offering a dynamic and social alternative to conventional pre-conference activities. Held at a premium venue close to the conference site, the event was structured to appeal to all fitness and experience levels. The format included: Beginner-friendly coaching sessions, ensuring newcomers felt confident and included Competitive match play for more experienced participants, adding an edge of excitement Plenty of time for relaxed networking, supported by a pre-event breakfast and refreshments to fuel the day The environment was intentionally casual and welcoming, creating a relaxed setting where conversations could happen naturally, without the pressure or formality of a traditional networking setting.

Outcome

The event was widely praised by attendees and stakeholders alike. By using sport as a vehicle for connection, the client succeeded in breaking down the barriers often associated with networking in corporate environments. The padel day was described as inclusive, energising, and refreshing, and it supported key themes around wellbeing and engagement. Thanks to its success and overwhelmingly positive feedback, the client is now exploring additional sport-focused engagement activities for future events — recognising the power of shared experiences to bring their network closer together.

Client Testimonial

“The padel day created a brilliant buzz ahead of the conference, it brought people together in a completely different way and made networking feel effortless. Working with Inconnection has been really seamless, so we didn’t have to worry about the organising or running and could enjoy hosting and engaging with our guests.”
