Meet the Team: Jen Pigott, Senior Operations Executive

3 June 2021

Hi Jen! Thank you for joining us for this month’s Meet the Team piece. You’ve had an exciting couple of years as part of the Inconnection team so let’s get started.

Your role is Senior Operations Executive with a focus on Corporate Hospitality, can you tell us what a typical day looks like for you?

No two days are the same! We have so many services available now it is great to get involved in so many different things. Today is a great example, I’ve been liaising with our Wimbledon supplier, speaking with a few golf courses for the early stages of a corporate golf event, speaking with cinemas for a private James Bond screening, arranging for branded coffee mugs for a MemMail send, collating ideas for an adventure incentive trip and I will be ending my day overseeing a virtual cocktail event!

You’ve also managed some big projects too, like our Manchester Arena Prime Suite in 2019/2020. What did that involve?

Yes, that was a great project to work on. We managed a 14-person suite on behalf of a client on a 12 month contract. By the end of the year we’d managed over 100 shows and 1,200 attendees!

I was involved from the very start, from the initial suite set up and branding so it was great to see the client and guests enjoy it every week. I liaised daily with the suite management team and the guests for each show to ensure everything ran smoothly and the guests always had a brilliant time.

What would you say is the most important part of making something like attending a concert or a corporate hospitality event so memorable?

I think it’s about the experience as a whole, from the attendees receiving an invite and to the memories you make on the day and the people you meet. Our MemMail service is a great example of this, as it sets the tone for an incredible day straight away.

Many of our clients use it as a way to invite guests to a hospitality event, or as a way to follow up and say thanks for attending. It adds another element to the event experience for the attendees which increases memorability and is great for relationship building too.

You’ve been lucky enough to attend some amazing events like the ATP Tennis finals whilst at Inconnection. Is there anything that would be top of your list for attending this year?

I think any event is going to have a buzz about it this year but a couple that stand out to me are; Windsor Races who are running some fun Monday night races through summer with different themes each week, the fact you can get a private steamboat transfer is even better!

And of course, London Comedy Lunch, after a year off we are all very excited to get back to another great event for what will be the 10th year.

We know you love to travel too. Where will you be heading first once restrictions lift?

A couple of places I have had on my list for a while for a long weekend break are Tallinn in Estonia and Bilbao in Spain. Something a little further afield and will take some planning is a tour of Japan, I think it would be an amazing place to explore.

Amazing choices! We already can’t wait to hear about what you get up, hopefully it’s not too long now!
