5 Rooftop Bars in London to Toast the End of Lockdown

14 April 2021

In a city like London, nothing beats a roof top bar when it comes to escaping the busy streets and bustling pavements. During normal times, we flock to them for after work drinks, special dinners or in our case – hosting unforgettable events for our clients. But this week, things are a little different.

As of April 12th, roof top bars in London and beer gardens across the country are welcoming guests back after months of national lockdown. Soon after that, on May 17th, groups of six will be allowed indoors and groups of up to thirty outdoors, and from June 21st, all restrictions will be lifted.*

Inconnection Road Map Out of Lockdown

So whether you’ll be celebrating with a ‘proper pint’ or your favourite cocktail, here’s where to head.

Aviary, Finsbury Square

With enviable views of London’s most iconic landmarks, this sleek and sophisticated roof top terrace is one of the first places to visit if you’ve missed the splendour of the city. Enjoy drinks and dining on the terrace or book one of the igloos for groups up to 6.

Skylight, Tobacco Dock

As London’s largest outdoor venue, Skylight is well equipped to welcome people back. Groups of up to six can enjoy the quirky setting, lively atmosphere, and fantastic service all within their rigorous Covid Secure protocols. Table service will remain in place up until 21st June with plans for their games to resume on 21st May.

Allegra, East London

Whilst we wait for luxury holidays abroad to return, the roof top terrace at Allegra is the ideal way to spend an afternoon or evening. Designed with a meadow of wildflowers, water features and cedar pathways, you really could be anywhere in the world.

The Nest Rooftop Bar, Marylebone

Situated across the road from the BBC and a stone’s throw from Regent St, this roof top bar boasts breath taking 360-degree views of the city from the 16th story. The Nest’s wrap around terrace with its loungers is the perfect place to cosy up and watch the sunset with a cocktail and a bite to eat.

Jin Bo Law, Aldgate

Popular for its carefully curated cocktail menu with subtle Asian influences, this exotic roof top terrace is unlike anything else. The Gherkin, The Shard and Tower Bridge are in perfect view but there’s plenty to enjoy about the venue itself, although you may have to wait until the indoor space is open to experience the décor in all its glory.
