We recently made the exciting announcement that we will be working with Ronald McDonald House Charities as this year’s London Comedy Lunch charity partner.

We couldn’t be happier to be working with this incredible charity, and to be raising funds to help them continue their amazing work.

There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses at specialist children’s hospitals across the UK, providing free ‘home away from home’ accommodation and support for families with children in hospital. Ronald McDonald House Manchester is our closest House, and our MD Nick Hamilton visited the House recently to announce our charity partnership.

Ronald McDonald House Manchester offers free 'home-away-from-home' accommodation to families with children receiving specialist care as inpatients at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and St Mary's Neonatal Unit.

The House is also open to families visiting the hospital for day care, including those with children receiving chemotherapy or renal dialysis.

Located steps from the Children’s Hospital, the House allows families to stay close to their child, while continuing their lives with some degree of normality. Each of the 60 rooms in the House has a direct phoneline to the children's ward, and the facility offers everything a family needs to feel at home – communal areas, lounges, self-catering kitchens, dining areas and laundry facilities, playrooms, a teenagers’ room, quiet areas and more.

Ronald McDonald House Manchester is more than just a place to stay. It’s a comforting, supportive and safe environment where families can interact, find a shoulder to cry on or take part in events and workshops designed to help them cope with caring for a seriously ill child.

Over the last seven years Inconnection's London Comedy Lunch has raised over £100,000 for our charity partners. We look forward to working alongside Ronald McDonald House Charities throughout this year, and to raising well-deserved funds for this very worthy cause at December’s London Comedy Lunch.
