The Client

Global Automotive Organisation ($7bn revenues and 34,000 employees)

The Challenge

The client wanted to stress the senior leadership team (Cxx suite) to reveal character whilst making it a sponsorable event to raise money for their corporate charity. Another aim was to enhance communication within that team and improve overall team dynamics. An important aspect was to make this net zero with carbon in alignment with their global environmental targets.

The Event

A bespoke adventure event based in Snowdonia which was named and branded based on their organisation and goal. Data was supplied along with imagery to make it sound really challenging and therefore more sponsorable. In the lead up we ran multiple zoom calls to present the benefits of adventure and with the CEO we looked at the character attributes that could be shown during the event itself.
During the event, qualified and insured guides helped run the event and Aspire Adventures owned all liability, event insurance, and risk assessments. Included in the cost was 2 nights hotel, breakfast, 3-course set meals, packed lunches, guides, transport from hotel start to finish, tree planting for carbon offset, and communication in advance.


The Results

There was significantly improved team communication. The event was carbon positive including images suppled of trees with plaque made. The CEO got a view of how the team character is revealed under stress outside of the board room. Created amazing memories and reduced overall friction.
Other benefits are that the CEO has been promoted to President based on Cxx level performance, the Chief People Officer has been nominated for numerous awards since, the business out-performed expectations during Covid, and they are a repeat business client for Aspire.
