Transport

Multiple direct daily flights from Gatwick and Heathrow from Air Canada, WestJet and BA, take around 9.5 hrs and make getting to Vancouver a breeze. Flights are also available from some regional UK airports.

The train from the airport to downtown Vancouver takes 25 mins. There is good public transport in the city, and cars are bookable through hotels. Why not add some wow-factor to your incentive travel and book a floatplane sightseeing tour?

Where to Go & What to Do

  • Explore Vancouver: Incentives in Vancouver can include exploring the 100-acre Stanley Park on by bike, hiring vintage cars and heading for trendy Granville island, and a visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge – a swaying footbridge strung 70 metres up across the stunning Capilano Canyon.
  • Whistler: November – May Whistler, just 2 hrs from Vancouver, offers one of the world's best big mountain (and best incentive travel) experiences – over 8,000 acres of slopes and 200+ marked trails. Great après ski, along with the Peak 2 Peak gondola, winter zip-lining and more, saw Whistler named #1 North American resort for off-hill activities in 2015.

If your Vancouver incentive itinerary doesn't allow for Whistler, try Grouse Mountain just outside the city for good skiing and great views back across Vancouver.

  • A Whale of a Time: Vancouver is famous for whale-watching tours. Tours leaving from either downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Island offer the chance to see Orcas and Grey, Humpback and Minke Whales in breathtaking surroundings. Once-in-a-lifetime incentive travel moments guaranteed, just minutes from the city.
  • Get a Different Perspective: Treat your incentive travel group - see Vancouver, the surrounding coast and mountains from a floatplane, or opt for a sunset dinner cruise on a privately chartered boat with live music for a gentler take on Vancouver sightseeing.

Restaurants & Venues

Incentives in Vancouver can take advantage of great destination restaurants, reception venues and meeting spaces. For product launches, workshops or intimate team meetings book out the City Side Winery, a crisp, contemporary wine-tasting venue near Olympic Village, or Zone Vancouver in fashionable Gastown.

Top restaurants include The Sandbar on Granville Island – book a table on the balcony over the water. Tojo's on West Broadway close to Kits Beach and French bistro Elixir at the Opus Hotel are must-visits.
